| Dosage | Orally: 75-150mg daily in 2-3 divided doses. Deep I.M into the gluteal muscle: 75mg OD or BD (post operative and acute exacerbations of pain). Maximum total dose by any route is 150mg. Children: 1 year or over with juvenile arthritis: 1-3mg/kg daily orally or through rectal route. For paediatric drops: Children over 12 years; 0.5-2mg/kg daily in two divided doses (max. 3mg/kg daily). Not recommended for children under 12 months. Adults especially elderly patients: 100 drops 2-3 times daily (=1 1⁄2 teaspoonfuls). |
