| Drug Indication | Prophylaxis against Plasmodium falciparum malaria in pregnancy. |
| Precautions | Take adequate fluids, pregnancy, haematological monitoring if used for long, in case cutaenous erythema occurs, stop treatment immediately. Reduce dose in renal impairment. |
| Contra-Indications | Infants during the first two weeks of life, the last two weeks of pregnancy, hypersensitivity to sulphonamides or pyrimethamine. Severe hepatic and/or renal insufficiency. |
