Mode Of Action

excite immune system to produce antibodies corresponding to the vaccine antigen

Drug Indication Active immunisation of infants against severe gastroenteritis caused by rotavirus, G1 and certain non-G1 serotypes
Precautions Postpone administration in case of acute severe febrile illness
Contra-Indications Ongoing diarrhoea or vomiting, hypersensitivity, immunosuppressed patients, history of chronic GI disease
Side Effects Loss of appetite, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, regurgitation of food, fever, fatigue, irritability.
Dosage 1ml orally on the inside of the cheek. 1st dose: 6-14 week of age. 2nd dose: 4-24 week of age. The interval between doses should not be less than 4 weeks.
