Dosage : Adult
Depression: Oral: Initial: 20 mg/day, generally with an increase to 40 mg/day;
doses of more than 40 mg are not usually necessary.
Should a dose increase be necessary, it should occur in 20 mg increments at intervals of no less than 1 week.
Maximum dose: 60 mg/day.

Children and Adolescents: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (unlabeled use): Oral: 10-40 mg/day
Dosing: Geriatric
Depression: Oral: Initial: 20 mg once daily; increase dose to 40 mg/day in nonresponsive patients
Alzheimer’s dementia-related depression (unlabeled use): Oral: Initial: 5-10 mg/day; may increase at multi-week intervals to maximum of 40 mg/day
