| Mode Of Action | The exact mode of action of piperazinoazepine such as mirtazapine is unknown. They may act by enhancing central noradrenergic and serotonergic activity, possibly through their antagonist activity at central presynaptic alpha2-adrenergic inhibitory autoreceptors and heteroreceptors. They show no significant affinity for serotonin 5-HT1A or 5-HT1B receptors. |
